Here at All Saints Counselling Service, our counsellors are trained and qualified to at least Diploma level and give their time to this service free of charge. Our counsellors are bound by ASCS standards and policies, and receive regular, clinical supervision.
At All Saints , we have a team of counsellors who offer a variety of therapeutic approaches. As well as working in the areas mentioned on our ‘How we can Help’ page, they also have different areas of counselling expertise and special interest, including working with addiction, with survivors of sexual abuse, refugees and asylum seekers, and those with learning difficulties.
Alongside their counselling training, they bring a wealth of collective professional experience to their counselling role: work in Social Services, Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services, Teaching and Youth Work.
Our counsellors receive regular, clinical supervision, as well as ongoing training as part of their Continuing Professional Development.
Director of the service, Andy Bridgen*, says: “I feel privileged to be representing ASC as Director at this time, as our wider community is really starting to embrace the place and value of talking therapies as a partner to medicine in the treatment of psychological distress.”
*Andy is an Accredited Member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy.
